Moogo discontinues its services

After enabling thousands of people around the world to create a website with our easy-to-use website builder, we have decided to no longer continue with the service. We have already disabled the possibility for new users to create websites with Moogo and we intend to discontinue the service for all our users during the next one year.

We are very sorry to bring these unfortunate news to you. We want to ensure that you won't lose your website's content and have the opportunity to create a new website with another service provider. Here's how we have planned to support you in this process:

• You can keep your website with us until the end of September 2012, so you have more than one year's time to decide what you want to do with your current website.

• You will not be charged anything for your website again from now on.

• We recommend you to transfer your website to another website builder similar to Moogo. Here are our top three recommendations:
  • Weebly provides a free website and charges only for additional services like domain name. Their service is very easy to use, as it it based mainly on drag-and-drop functionality. Find out more at http://www.weebly.com.
  • Yola provides a free website and charges only for additional services like domain name, premium designs etc. Their service is mainly targeted to business users, although also very suitable for private users. Find out more at http://www.yola.com.
  • Webs provides a free website and charging for additional services like domain name, premium designs etc. We believe they have more diverse options for users, but might require some more web knowledge. Find out more at http://www.webs.com.
• In case you want to keep your current website's content, you need to copy it to your new website.

• If you don't have much content, it is possible to simply copy the text and images and paste them to your new website.

• In case you have extensive amount of content, we might be able to help you to export it from our system. Please contact us no later than 1st May in case you think you might need our help with that. Please note that we can help with export only when you have extensive amount of content.

• In case you have purchased a domain name and e-mail addresses from us:
  • we can help you to transfer them to a new service provider of your choice until September 2012. All the above mentioned website builders host domain names and e-mail addresses, but you can also transfer them to a more general service provider like GoDaddy.com that don't expect you to have a website with them.
  • we will renew it for free until September 2012 unless you will have already found a new service for your website and directed the domain name there.
