CalendarMake an entry using the Calendar feature to keep track of important events and seminars for your organization or business, or your favorite sports team's big games
Choose the "New Event" link on the "Site Management" tab on the top of the page, and a page for entering new events will open. Type in the name of the event and choose the time. The event can be spread out over several days, in which case you can choose both the starting and the ending date. You can also define the time. If the event has a website or other online information, you can enter a link in the Event entry. Remember to enter the address in the format http://www.address.com. You can upload a small picture to represent the event which will show up in the news listing on the front page. Be sure to check the Events feature after you have uploaded a picture to make sure everything looks fine. If the picture is too large, it might not appear on the site as you intended. Type a description of the event in the text field. In addition to the text, you can also add pictures, links and tables to the Events entry, and you can choose different styles. Keep in mind that in most cases the event entry is best kept short and sweet. This helps keep the Events feature consistent and easy to browse. Settings
Website administrators can edit the features from the settings. The settings allow you to use the Calendar feature exactly as you wish, or to hide it from the website altogether. You can enter the Calendar feature settings by clicking the "Calendar " feature link on the "Site management" tab. A Calendar feature tab appears, and you can choose the "Settings" tab from the column on the left. The Settings page allows you to set the title for the Events feature and the number of events to be featured on the front page of the site. The settings allow you to set the new Event entries to appear on the side column as a calendar or a list. You can edit the location and order of the calendar block on the side column. You can find more details on moving the block under the "Page Layout and Structure" instructions. The Settings page allows you to turn on the Events Suggestion feature. This gives visitors to your site the opportunity to share their ideas on events. You can accept or reject the suggested events on the Calendar feature Management page. The default Calendar settings are perfect for most needs. You can test and adjust the different settings to match your requirements. This will showcase the individual character of your site and help meet your specific needs.
