Here's what our customers think

I needed a cost effective solution to launch my small business very quickly - I did not wish to commit to the cost of using an Internet service provider before seeing if my business was going to succeed.

I like the easy editing functions which are so simple, the order forms have been really helpful for my business too and come straight to my inbox.

Choosing Moogo was low risk.

Blog

Moogo's blog feature is a way to express yourself online. A blog is a modern-day diary in electronic format, allowing one or more individuals to express their interest in different topics in an ongoing narrative.

You can enter the blog feature from the "Site Management" tab on the top of the page.

Maintaining blog entries

You can make a new entry with the blog feature by clicking on the "New Entry" button. The drop-down menu features all your previous entries and you can open them for editing by choosing the entry heading from the menu.

Making a new entry

Click on the "Make a New Entry" button and start typing your new blog entry. Set a heading for the entry, the keywords, publication time and the writer's name. You can enter a lead for the entry in the first big text field. The lead can be viewed on the front page of the blog. If your entry is very short, you can type the entire text in this field.

If you want only the lead to be visible on the first page and the rest of the entry to be placed on a page of its own, type the rest of the message in another text field, which you can open by clicking on the "Create a Second Entry Page" link.

Keywords

Keywords can be used to describe the contents of the text with single words. Keywords appear in the form of links. By clicking on the link, the blog feature lists all the entries containing the keyword in question. This allows a reader interested in a specific topic to efficiently find all the blog entries on that topic.

Keywords can also be used for moving from one set of topics to another.

Blog Settings

Blog settings
You can enter the Blog settings from the "Settings" link on the left.

You can use the blog settings to define how your blog works. You can find the setting from the left-hand side "Settings" link on the blog feature.

The blog settings allow you to hide the blog from the front page or to either allow or disable comments on the blog entries. Commenting allows readers of the blog to express their views on the featured topics and ideas.

You can also choose moderated commenting, which means you must approve each comment before it appears on the website. Entries with comments waiting for approval can be seen on the Blog Management Page. Move your mouse over a comment waiting for approval and a red frame will appear. Two icons appear in the upper left-hand corner: a lightning icon for approving comments, and a red X for deleting comments.

Comments can be deleted after they have been approved and appear on the site. Click on the red X on the comment to delete it.

You can also choose in the settings for a new e-mail notification to be sent when you receive a new comment on a blog entry.

You can choose for more information on the blog entries and comments to appear on the right-hand or left- hand side content block of your site.

Show the message archive in the content block

A drop-down menu in the content block features months and the number of blog entries for each month. By choosing a month, the program will list all blog entries for a given month.

The message archive also displays the headings for "Entries with most comments" and "Keywords for the entries."

Show a keyword list in a content block

The program lists 20 of the most popular keywords in a content block. By clicking on a keyword, the program will list all the blog entries associated with that keyword.

Listing new comments in a content block

The program will feature the five most recent comments on a content block. The comments can be on any blog entry with the most recent comments. This listing allows blog readers to easily view new comments on older blog entries.

You can change the order and location of the content blocks if desired. More details on moving the content blocks are available under the "Page layout and structure" instructions.
