Text Editor and Photo Editing The multifunctional text editor can be used throughout Moogo, and also allows you to add images, links and tables. | | A text editor will open after you click on the lightning icon, allowing you to edit text and add photos, links and tables. | Entering and editing text Open the text editor by moving the mouse over the text to be edited and click on the lightning icon that appears. Enter the text you want in the text editor. You can select a bold font by highlighting a section of the text and selecting the "B" icon on the top part of the editor. Use the same method for underlining text and italics. Adding text from word processing programs You can paste text you have completed with a word processor by using the clipboard. You have to paste the text using the text editor's "Word" function; otherwise, it will utilize formatting that is not compatible with online use. You will find the Word function in the text editor toolbox (W icon). Linking | | The "Add link" window allows you to select a link to an external site (URL field), a file (Select a File) or a content page or a feature on your own website (Select a Page), as shown in the example above. | In the editor, enter the word or phrase you want to use as a link. Use the mouse to highlight the chosen word or phrase, and then select the link icon in the editor. A small window appears on the screen, and you can enter the address you want (in the format http://www.address.com) in the URL field. If you want the link to point directly to an existing content page on your website, click on the "Select Page" button. The text field is turned into a drop-down menu containing all the content pages on your site as well as the features selected for the site. If you want to create a direct link to a file (e.g., a Word, Excel or a PDF format file), click on the "Select File" button. A file browser appears, allowing you to select the file to which the link should point. You may link an e-mail address by entering the address in the URL field in the link window and typing in "mailto" before the address (e.g., mailto:john@doe.com. When finished, press the OK button and the link will be added to the editor. » For more details on making links The text editor has features that many people are familiar with from word processing programs:  Adding and Editing Images It is easy to add image files to the text. The files should be in .JPG, .GIF or .PNG format. Do not use other file formats. The images should be appropriate for online use, as images that are too large in size will make your site much slower. You can resize the images to make them smaller in the Moogo file browser. First, select the photo addition icon in the text editor. You can use the file browser appearing on the screen to manage pictures and other files. The files that appear in the file browser are located on the Moogo server. Choose the folder to where you would like to upload a photo from your own computer. You can create a new file by clicking on the "New File" button. The folders will help you keep the files organized. Go to the folder to where you want the file to be uploaded, and select the Browse button in the top right-hand corner. A view from your own computer will appear on the screen. Select the file you want and upload it to the Moogo server. The file will appear in the folder you are in. Add the picture to your site by clicking on the green "correct" sign next to the image file. Note!Do not use spaces or commas in the file or folder names. | | The file browser is used to manage photos and other files. | The file browser will display the image file name, its measurements and size in kilobytes and the last editing date. Click on the green "correct" sign, and the image is added to the text content in the editor. You can edit the image in the file browser, too. Click on the file name and the image will appear on the left. Click on the "Edit File" link below the image. Photo editing features will appear below the image. You may edit width and height, rotate the image, or rename it. The default settings of the program will restore the original proportions. After you have confirmed the changes by clicking on the "OK" button, the changes will be applied. Note! When you resize or rotate the image, the original image will be deleted and the photo cannot be restored to its original form. However, you can always reload the original image from your own computer. Resizing the image will not affect the original image that is on your own computer! File Browser 1. Folder structure This window displays the folder structure. "Pictures" and "Files" folders are created automatically by the program. You can add new folders by clicking on the "New Folder" button. If you have the Sports Team features, the program automatically adds a folder to each team created. 2. File listing The files browser content area allows you to view all files in a selected folder. The file data displayed includes the file name, measurements, size in kilobytes and the last editing date. A preview window will appear on the left when you click on the file name. 3. Picture preview and editing A preview window will appear on the left after you click on the file name. Clicking on the "Edit File" link allows you to enter the photo editing properties. You can resize the pictures, rotate them and rename them. You should bear in mind that photo editing often causes a reduction in the quality of the picture.
