Frequently Asked Questions about Reserving a DomainQ: Can I use a Moogo website with my own domain name? A: Yes, you can. If you already have a domain name and want to transfer it to your Moogo website, simply send a message to our Helpdesk. If you don't have a domain yet, you can order one when you log in to the administration side of your website and click on 'Additional Services' tab. In this section you can request for different features, as well as order domain names.
Q: I already have my own domain and I’d like to use it with my Moogo website. What should I do? A: If you have an existing domain, you can transfer it to Moogo free of charge. Ask your current service provider to provide you with the AUTH-ID key and to unlock the domain name. Send the AUTH-ID key to our customer service department. The transfer will take approximately five to seven days to complete. Note! If you use e-mail addresses that end with the domain name you want to transfer (for example, the domain you want to transfer is www.company.com and your address is "john@company.com"), order the Moogo E-mail Services feature in the Additional Services tab of the maintenance mode before the transfer. If this step is skipped, the e-mail addresses will stop working after the transfer. Send the AUTH-ID key only after you have received an order confirmation for the E-mail Service. Please note that if you use other e-mail addresses, for example those offered by your Internet service provider (john.doe@aol.com, jane.d@msn.com, etc.), the domain transfer will not affect the use of these e-mail addresses.
Q: What will happen to my web site when I reserve a domain name? Do I have to make the site from scratch again? A: Nothing will happen to the web site you created. We will register the domain name for you and direct it to your new web site. |
