Frequently Asked Questions about Page Layout and Structure

Q: I added a news headline block on the side column but it is not visible on the web site.  Why?

A: If there are no news items, the News block is not displayed on the front page.

Q: There is an empty strip on the right-hand side of my site.  How can I take advantage of the whole content area?

A: You probably have the settings selected to display the right column.  You can remove the right column from view on the right side of the Page Layout Editing page.  After this is done, the page content will fill the entire content area.

Q: How can I hide the "Contact Information" block from the site?

A: You can hide it by using the web site Maintenance mode.  Move the mouse over the "Contact Information" block and click on the icon that reads "Edit Page Layout."  In page layout editing, you can hide the Contact Information content block.
