Here's what our customers think

I needed a cost effective solution to launch my small business very quickly - I did not wish to commit to the cost of using an Internet service provider before seeing if my business was going to succeed.

I like the easy editing functions which are so simple, the order forms have been really helpful for my business too and come straight to my inbox.

Choosing Moogo was low risk.

Why You Should Use Testimonials On Your Website.

Wednesday 8/25/10 time 9:25 AM - Sjoerd @ Moogo

testimonial.pngAlthough we all like to do it sometimes, blowing your own horn is not really a recommended thing to do when promoting your business. However, to quote the American comedian Will Rogers, "Get someone else to blow your horn and the sound will carry twice as far."

So how can you make that happen on your website?

Facebook For Companies: Using Facebook For Business

Friday 8/13/10 - Heikki @Moogo

windowslivewriterfacebookforbusinesstheblogsquadinterview-10969image-111.pngWhile most of us treat Facebook as a way to keep in touch, and communicate with our buddies, we shouldn't forget that Facebook can be used as an effective business tool as well. It's a great platform for marketing your products, landing gigs and connecting with your customers. Of course it never hurts to play a little Farmville and Mafia Wars on the side, too. Apologies, I digress. Click 'find out more' to know how you can make more out of your Facebook.

Why You Should Use Video On Your Website

Monday 8/9/10 time 8:55 AM - Sjoerd @ Moogo

youtube_upload_and_signup.jpgLet's start this blogpost with a question:

If a picture says more than a thousands worths, then how many words does a video say?

No need to start guessing, this was a rethorical question! But I'm hoping you caught my point. A video can be a very engaging and convincing sales tool. It doesn't matter what you sell, a video can almost always be more convincing than a textual description with or without pictures.

How To: Handle Social Media Misfits

Friday 7/30/10 - Heikki @Moogo

baddie.jpegSocial networks are great. Plain and simple. They make it possible for you to connect with like-minded people and grant you a platform to express thought. Professionals, high-school kids and even your grandma are getting getting savvy to ways of web 2.0. While most of us play together on this ever-expanding viral sandbox, there are always some who feel like it's their duty to start causing trouble. These ruckus-bringing baddies are oft-referred to as trolls. We know that nobody likes trolls, but what exactly is a troll and what makes them tick?

How far can a business go without a website?

Wednesday 7/28/10 time 9:20 AM - Helena @Moogo

how_far_can_a_business_go.jpg

There are many companies that don't have a website. And it's just something that is not easy for me to understand - not because I work with Moogo, but because as a young person I look for information on the web. So if a company is not there then I simply can't find it. Further more, I keep wondering how these companies survive and how far they can really get without having a website.

Every year I get yellow pages sent to my home by post. I really haven't asked anyone to send it to me, but it still comes. Every year I have done the same thing - I get amazed of how many companies have spent their advertising money on it and then just throw the book away. Firstly, if I want to find any service, I would most definitely not use information on a paper for that. Secondly, these contact informations don't tell me anything about these companies. I was to know more than their phone number - if they have what I want, if their product is good, if anyone recommends the company etc. Even if I was just looking for a phone number, I'd rather pull out my mobile phone to check their site.

Usability, your secret to more customers.

Monday 7/26/10 time 9:10 AM - Lisa Duddington

picture_242.jpgThis weeks post is by Lisa Duddington who owns keepitusable, a web design and usability service provider. We have worked with Lisa before and totally recommend her services. Lisa is also an established blogger and you can read more of her thoughts on www.usabilitygal.com.

What is usability?

Usability is all about making things easy to use. Think about your everyday life... if something is easy to use doesnʼt it make you want to use it more? Donʼt you recommend it  to others? Itʼs exactly the same with websites. This is why as much as 95% of potential sales can be lost by a site that has poor usability.

Guest post: SEO - How to determine the best search terms?

Wednesday 7/7/10 time 8:38 AM - Roy Huiskes

seosearchterms2.jpgEvery SEO project starts with only one question: Which search term brings the best connection between me, my product and my readers? Sure, you can try to start ranking for words like ‘mortgage’ or ‘loan’ but that will only bring you disillusion in so many ways you never want to work on SEO or your website ever again. Think small. By starting to think small, you actually look at the bigger picture. Now, that’s a contradiction to start a blog post with!

Moogo helps restaurants to extend their hospitality on the web

Wednesday 6/16/10 time 8:41 AM - Helena @Moogo

small_business.jpgLast week we wrote that there are many construction companies that have created a website with Moogo to create their online presence. This time we bring you another group of businesses that have found Moogo - restaurants, pubs and cafes.

Many people dream to have their own cafe or restaurant where they can receive important guests and gain wide popularity in their community. While there is a pretty long list of regulations and laws that a restaurant owner needs to keep in mind, significant investment needed for getting the right equipment and hiring staff, there is also marketing part that needs to be taken care of. And when a fresh cafe owner doesn't have an extra penny to spend, online website builders like Moogo become handy.
